Bromocriptine is used for two different types of indications: endocrine system indications and nervous system indications. 1. Endocrinology indications 1. Irregular menstruation and female infertility Prolactin caused by prolactin is too high or under normal circumstances: Amenorrhea (galactorrhea or no galactorrhea), oligomenorrhea 2. The luteal phase is too short Drug-induced hyperprolactinemia (such as certain psychotherapeutics and antihypertensive drugs) 3. Female infertility not related to prolactin 4. Polycystic ovary syndrome Anovulatory cycle (combined with anti-estrogens, such as clomiphene) 5. Male hyperprolactinemia Hypogonadism related to prolactin (low sperm, decreased libido, impotence). 6. Prolactinoma Conservative treatment of small or huge prolactinomas of the pituitary gland; taken before surgery to reduce the size of the tumor to facilitate surgical resection; those whose prolactin is still too high after surgery. 7. Acromegaly For adjuvant therapy, in some special cases, as an alternative therapy to surgery or radiation therapy. 8. Inhibit physiological lactation It is only used in cases where breastfeeding is not possible for medical reasons, such as stillbirth, neonatal death, and mothers infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). 2. Nervous system indications Parkinson's disease after primary and encephalitis can be used alone or in combination with other anti-Parkinson's disease drugs.
