Limaprost Alfadex Tablets have a vasodilating effect and platelet aggregation inhibitory action and consequently relieve symptoms such as numbness, pain, cold sense in the limbs, and gait disorder caused by peripheral circulatory disturbance.
It is usually used to improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcer, algia, and cold sense caused by thromboangiitis obliterans, as well as subjective symptoms (algia and numbness in the lower limbs) and walking ability which are accompanied by acquired lumbar spinal canal stenosis (patients who are proved normal in straight-leg raising [SLR] test and have bilateral intermittent claudication).
Limaprost is a synthetic prostaglandin E1 derivative. Due to the destruction of enzymes in the digestive system, traditional prostaglandin drugs are easily catabolized and generally ineffective when taken orally. Limatoprost has a special structure and can exert pharmacological effects when taken orally, improving clinical adaptability. It is the earliest drug used in the circulatory system oral prostaglandins.
