This product is used for the following mild and moderate infections caused by sensitive bacteria: 1. Upper respiratory tract infection (1) Streptococcus pyogenes pharyngitis/tonsillitis. Note: Usually the treatment and prevention of streptococcal infection (including the prevention of rheumatic fever) should choose intramuscular penicillin injection. Although cefprozil is generally effective in eliminating Streptococcus pyogenes in the nasopharynx, there is currently no data on cefprozil to prevent secondary rheumatic fever. (2) Otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae (including lactamase producing strains) and Moraxella catarrhalis (including lactamase producing strains). Acute sinusitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae (including lactamase-producing strains) and Moraxella catarrhalis (including lactamase-producing strains). 2. Lower respiratory tract infection caused by secondary bacterial infections and chronic infections of acute bronchitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae (including -lactamase-producing strains) and Moraxella catarrhalis (including -lactamase-producing strains) Acute onset of bronchitis. 3. Uncomplicated skin and skin and soft tissue infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillinase-producing strains) and Streptococcus pyogenes, but abscesses usually require surgical drainage to drain pus. Bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test should be carried out when appropriate to determine the sensitivity of the pathogen to cefprozil.
