This product is a class Ib antiarrhythmic drug, which can inhibit the sodium influx of myocardial cells, reduce the speed of action potential 0 phase depolarization, and shorten the effective refractory period of Pu's fiber. In patients with normal cardiac conduction system, mexiletine has little effect on the production and conduction of cardiac impulse rhyme. In clinical trials, it has not been found that mexiletine causes second-degree or third-degree atrioventricular block. Mexiletine does not extend the duration of ventricular depolarization and repolarization, so it can be used for ventricular arrhythmias with prolonged QT interval. The drug has anti-arrhythmic, anti-convulsant and local anesthetic effects. The inhibitory effect on the myocardium is small. The effective blood concentration of mexiletine is 0.5-2 μg/ml, and the poisoned blood concentration is similar to the effective blood concentration, which is more than 2 μg/ml. A small number of patients can have serious adverse reactions at the effective blood concentration.
