【Indications】

【Pharmacology】

Ergotamine/its tartrate salt is commonly used. The main mechanism of action is to contract the expanded extracranial arteries through direct contraction of smooth muscles, or to activate the serotonin receptors in the arterial wall to cause cerebral arteries. Excessive expansion and pulsation of blood vessels return to normal, thereby reducing headaches. Combined with caffeine, the effect is better than ergotamine alone, and the side effects are less.
