This product is suitable for use in combination with other antiretroviral drugs for adult patients with HIV-1 infection who have received treatment. These patients have evidence of viral replication and are resistant to multiple antiretroviral drugs. The establishment of the indication for this product is based on the analysis of plasma HIV-1 RNA levels in two clinical controlled studies at 24 weeks. These studies are in adult patients who have received three antiretroviral inhibitor treatments (non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, protease inhibitors) and have clinically advanced disease ongoing. This product is more likely to produce a therapeutic response when used in combination with other active drugs. (See clinical trials) There is no data on the safety and effectiveness of this product in untreated adult patients or children. There is no research result that this product affects the clinical progress of HIV-1 infection.
