Cefaclor is a second-generation cephalosporin. It is an oral semi-synthetic antibiotic and has a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect. Its mechanism of action is the same as that of other cephalosporins. It mainly achieves bactericidal effects by inhibiting the synthesis of cell walls. This product is stable to the β-lactamase of some bacteria, so some microorganisms that produce β-lactamase may be sensitive to this product. In vitro and clinical studies have confirmed that this product has antibacterial activity against most of the following microorganisms: Gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae; This product is ineffective against Staphylococcus methicillin sodium. Gram-negative bacteria: Haemophilus influenzae (only for non-β-lactamase-producing strains), Moraxella catarrhalis (including β-lactamase-producing strains).
