Tedizolamide phosphate is a second-generation oxazolidinone antibiotic and a protein synthesis inhibitor. It is used for acute skin and skin tissue infections (ABSSSI) in adults caused by gram-positive bacteria and is called "super antibiotic". Tedizolamide phosphate can bind to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome and achieve antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It has been reported that the antibacterial efficacy of Tedizolid is four times or more than that of Linezolid, so it may have the effect of anti-linezolid resistant bacteria. Compared with linezolid, Tedizolid has a longer half-life and only needs to be used once a day for six days, which is more convenient than linezolid twice a day for ten days. The sales data of linezolid PDB in 2018 was 640 million yuan.
