Applications

Apixaban was jointly developed by Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pfizer and was approved by the FDA for listing in the United States in December 2012. Apixaban can directly inhibit factor Xa, blocking the conversion of prothrombin into thrombin during the coagulation cascade. Another feature of Apixaban is that it can not only inhibit free Xa and Xa in the prothrombin complex, but also inhibit Xa in blood clots, and it does not require antithrombin Ⅲ during the inhibition process, which is consistent with The effects of heparin anticoagulants are different.
