Benidipine hydrochloride is a new, long-acting, third-generation dihydropyridine calcium ion antagonist. Due to its unique membrane-mediated action mode and the ability to block L/T/N 3 subtypes of calcium channels at the same time, the antihypertensive effect is long-lasting, stable and powerful, and it has anti-angina pectoris and cardio-cerebral vascular protection. In 1991, Japan Kyowa Fermentation Company was listed for the first time in Japan, and then listed in many countries. The 2015 edition of the "Consensus of Chinese Experts on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Coronary Artery Spasm Syndrome" believes that benidipine is suitable for the treatment of various coronary artery spasm angina pectoris, and its clinical efficacy is better than diltiazem and amlodipine. Clinical studies have also shown that, compared with amlodipine, benidipine can significantly reduce serum aldosterone levels and urine protein, and this effect is independent of the antihypertensive effect. Another study showed that benidipine also reduces blood uric acid.
