The original research is Bayer, Germany. In December 2005, Sorafenib Tosylate was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a first-line drug for the treatment of advanced renal cancer, and in 2007 it was approved for the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. This product is an oral multi-target, a multi-kinase inhibitor, which can block tumor angiogenesis by inhibiting vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) and platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDG-FR), and can It inhibits tumor cell proliferation by blocking the RAF/MEK/ERK signaling pathway, thereby exerting dual inhibition and multi-target blocking anti-HCC effects. It is the first standard drug approved for the treatment of advanced HCC. Sorafenib monotherapy not only prolongs the time of disease progression in patients with advanced liver cancer but also prolongs the overall survival of patients. Moreover, sorafenib was generally well tolerated in patients, and few patients discontinued treatment due to serious side effects. Thus, Sorafenib Tosylate represents an important advance in the treatment of advanced HCC and is the new standard of care for this disease. As the first targeted therapy drug in the field of liver cancer in China has brought significant survival benefits to Chinese patients.
