Eperisone is a central muscle relaxant that acts on the spinal cord and vascular smooth muscle. It inhibits spinal cord reflex, inhibits the spontaneous impulse of γ-motor neurons, reduces the sensitivity of muscle spindles, and relieves skeletal muscle tension; and through expansion Blood vessels improve blood circulation and block the vicious cycle of hypertonic muscle → circulatory disorders → muscle pain → hypertensive muscle tone. Eperisone does not play a role in muscle spindles, but uses the γ system as a mediator to further reduce the sensitivity of muscle spindles. Compared with other anticonvulsants, eperisone has a relatively low sedative effect, so it becomes an optional drug for anticonvulsive therapy and does not show a decrease in sensitivity. Clonazepam, trihexyphenid hydrochloride, and eperisone are three relatively effective drugs on the market for children with cerebral palsy. Clinical trials have found that eperisone has the best effect in improving muscle tone and the incidence of toxic and side effects. It is also the lowest. The application of eperisone to children with spastic cerebral palsy can effectively regulate muscle tension, improve abnormal posture and motor function, and better receive rehabilitation treatment.
