Naproxen sodium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug that is relatively easy to be tolerated by humans. It is a phenylpropionic acid compound and exerts anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins. Naproxen sodium has strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, and its main biological effects are: (1) inhibit the activity of prostaglandin synthase, thereby reducing capillary permeability; (2) reducing the production of peroxidation by macrophages (3) Stimulate T inhibitory cell activity; (4) Reduce pain sensitivity. Compared with ibuprofen, fenoprofen, aspirin, sulindac and indomethacin, the symptom relief effect is similar, but the incidence and severity of adverse reactions in the gastrointestinal tract and nervous system are lower. From May 31, 2018 to May 31, 2019, the sales of naproxen sodium tablets in the US market were approximately US$44 million.
